Stephanie Wright: City Council #5, Lynnwood

Stephanie Wright (http://electstephaniewright2007.com) is strongly committed to the environmental priorities and strategies of the Sierra Club and other progressive organizations.

As a Lynnwood City Councilmember, Ms. Wright will advocate measures for smart, sustainable growth in Lynnwood: a program for LEED Gold or Platinum certified buildings at the City Center and Highway 99 redevelopment projects, conversion of city-owned vehicles to fuel-efficient hybrids that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, expansion of light rail transit to Snohomish County, and zoning of mixed-use pedestrian-friendly developments that enable people to work and shop near their homes. She wants to protect green spaces and mature native trees, and enforce the Critical Areas Ordinances. She understands that several cities in Snohomish County, along with allies on the County Council, need to work together to check undesirable sprawl in unincorporated regions of the County.
