Lauren Walker: City Council #3, Tacoma

Lauren Walker (http://www.laurenwalker.org/) has worked tirelessly as an activist in her community as former President of the Hilltop Action Coalition, and for 12 years she has served as Executive Director of the Fair Housing Center of Washington.

As an avid walker, cyclist, and bus user, Lauren literally “walks the talk” on protecting clean air and water.  She is also a great advocate for neighborhood clean-up projects and parks for people and places for wildlife. She supports green buildings, bike lanes, and transportation alternatives such as streetcars. She will be a hard-working, thoughtful council member.
