Come and see the most unique and amazing views of Ruby Mountain and the glaciers in the saddle between Diablo Lake and Ross Lake. This picturesque hike crosses Thunder Creek several times, with beautiful cascading waterfalls. The first flowers will be coming up among the massive old-growth Cedars and Douglas Firs. Come and hug a tree with us! 11.6 miles RT with 2400 feet elev. gain. Bring lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat, and dress for the weather. Hiking boots and poles essential for the rocky parts of this trail. Meet in Sedro-Wolley at 8:30 am. This outing is open to the public but no dogs please inside the North Cascades National Park and recreation area.
