Web Designer for Cascade Crest

 

Volunteer position: Cascade Crest Designer

 

Background: The Chapter needs a new layout/design person for the Chapter newsletter, the Cascade Crest.

 

Objectives:

-      Work with managing editor to produce bi-monthly issues of the Crest

 

Responsibilities:

-      Coordinate with managing editor to lay out editorial content for 16-page newsletter into existing design template

-      Work with managing editor on one round of review/edits before producing final product

-      Send final PDF to printer

 

Qualifications:

-      Experience with InDesign CS, Photoshop, Acrobat and MS Word (design template is in InDesign)

-      Must have Mac and OSX, at least 10.2.3

-      Patience with last-minute edits and revisions

-      Experience with newspaper, newsletter or book design and layout

 

Technical requirements: Existing template files are Mac-based: InDesign/Quark with some Photoshop and a bit of Illustrator.

 

Time commitment:

This position requires approximately 15-20 hours every other month

 

Start Date: Availability starting December 3
