Backcountry Snow Camp - MOUNT JEFFERSON CIRCUMNAVIGATION

This outing is all weekend, Friday - Monday Feb. 22 - 25, 2008. Contact leader for announcement of location and directions. Four days, 36 miles, 4000ft. elevation gain. We'll be leaving Thursday evening February 21 and returning Monday evening February 25. Join us for an adventure around Mt. Jefferson a a three day odyssey of spectacular beauty. Take the road less traveled! Starts at Whitewater trailhead, travels around Mt. Jefferson (clockwise) through a kaleidoscope of terrain--from lush forest to barren snow. Maximum 12 participants. Requires experience snow camping, back country skis and skins, ability to backpack 15 miles/day, references. Reservations required a week in advance.
