Soos Creek Spring Restoration Work Party

Saturday, May 17th, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Please join the South King County group of the Sierra Club and the Friends of Soos Creek, in coordination with the King County Parks Department, for our Tenth Semiannual Restoration Event at Soos Creek Park. The park is a beautiful ribbon of greenery running through Renton, Kent, and Covington that provides exceptional wildlife habitat in an otherwise urban setting. Drinks and snacks provided - bring your own lunch. You’ll need work clothes, gloves and boots and be sure to dress for the weather. Some tools will be provided, but bring loppers and pruners if you have them. Activity will be between 9 AM and 2 PM - you can work as little or as much as you like during that time frame. We will meet at the parking lot at the south end of the trail, which is along 148th Ave. SE just off SE 266th St. near Lake Meridian Park. For directions or more information, please contact Mark Johnston by email or at 253-639-3862.
