This is a moderate 5 mile round trip 1,000 ft. elevation gain. Join us for a gorgeous hike to the highest point in Southwest Washington. If we time it right, the wildflowers should be in beautiful full bloom. Spectacular view from the top includes vistas across the Columbia river and four snow-capped Cascade peaks.
Come learn about the unique natural history of the Yacolt burn area. Hike is family -friendly and the trail follows a well graded former road. This outing is open to the public. Carpool from Battle Ground. The drive to trailhead is a little long and bumpy. Dogs on leash OK. Weather dependent. Preregister with rick.marshall@comcast.net or (360) 834-3455 for announcement of meeting location and directions. (LW)
