Senator Regala has long been a champion for the environment and a Senate leader. Over the last four years she has been a supporter and leader in the Senate to pass such major environmental legislation such as Clean Car, Green Building, Global Warming mitigation, toxic PBDE flame retardant ban, Toxic toy ban, and funding for Puget Sound Clean-up, to name a few bills. She is has been the Senate Majority Whip since 2005 and currently serves on key committees: Water, Energy and Technology; Rules; and Ways and Means Committees; with a focus on the environment, getting bills prioritized for floor votes, and funding of legislation.
