Pam Brokaw (D): County Commission #1, Clark County

Pam Brokaw, a former journalist and Congressional staffer, knows this Clark County Commissioner seat is pivotal to the county's future. "We have a brief window of opportunity to provide for a future that balances growth with conservation of open space and farmland," says Brokaw, who is also endorsed by Washington Conservation Voters. Pam has been a strong supporter of environmental issues since high school when she helped form an anti-pollution student organization.

Pam has earned a reputation as a strong leader who builds coalitions linking citizens, businesses, and government. She previously managed the City of Vancouver Water Resources Education Center where she managed urban parks, 50 acres of wetlands, and a variety of educational programs. She is currently executive director of Affordable Community Environments, a transitional housing non-profit. She is also former chair of the Clark County Democratic Party.
