Hike & Camp - LEWIS RIVER - LOWER FALLS - Mt. St. Helens Vic.

 This is a car camp with daily easy-moderate-more strenuous hikes. We'll camp among fir trees beside the Lewis River at the Lower Falls group camp. This site, in Southwest Washington's Gifford Pinchot National Forest is rated as a "10" for scenic location. Hike to falls along the river, to the best viewpoint of Mount St. Helens may be to a cave or elsewhere. See area hikes in Sullivan's 100 Hikes in NW Oregon. Planned hikes are moderate to difficult; easier trails are available. (Mary's Peak.) This outing is open to the public. Bring water and food, camping gear, and dress for the weather.
