Saturday, September 27th, 7:00 am - 9:00 pm
This is a 14 mile, 2,000' elevation gain, 4,950 peak altitude moderately paced naturalist-led hike. We'll hike through healthy, diverse forests with ten species of conifers in roadless, undeclared wilderness. There will be bountiful wildflower meadows, six glacial lakes backed by statuesque cliffs. Lots of signs of bear, coyote, cougar and other wildlife--all rarely visited by people. Brewpub to follow. Preregistration required. Participation limited to 12 people. Sunrise, 7:04am, Sunset 6:57pm. This outing is open to the public. For more information, directions, and to sign up, contact Tom Lum Forest at (503) 359-3594 or by email. (Columbia / LW)
