SOOS CREEK PARK SPRING RESTORATION EVENT

 Saturday, May 2, 2009 - Soos Creek Park Spring Restoration Event

 

The South King County Group, in conjunction with King County Parks, will hold our 12th Semi-Annual Restoration Event at Gary Grant Soos Creek Park in Kent. We will meet at 9:00 AM at the parking lot at the south end of the trail - along 148th Ave. SE just off SE 266th St. near Lake Meridian Park, and work until 2:00 PM. We will be working up to three locations in the park, finishing removal or revisiting areas we've worked previously, but where invasive ivy and scotch broom are beginning to make a comeback.

 King County Parks will provide all major tools needed; however, please bring work gloves, boots, long-sleeved shirt, and rain gear, if it appears it may rain. Contact Mark Johnston 253-631-8626 markjtn@aol.com
