Hike On Mt. Townsend, Olympic Peninsula

Join others interested in protecting Wilderness and Park lands on the Olympic peninsula on this popular but fairly strenuous hike through the Buckhorn Wilderness to a summit with expansive views of Puget Sound and the eastern Olympics. Enjoy both forest and meadows as well as views along the way as we ascend 2900 ft. to the summit, talking about the values and efforts to protect places like this. Hikers will want sturdy hiking boots, food, plenty of water and appropriate clothing. 8.2 miles round-trip. Call leader to sign up and for details on meeting place and time.
