Amber Waldref: City Council #1, Spokane

Amber Waldref has earned our endorsement many times over for her hard work in environmental organizations and causes. She currently works for The Lands Council, dedicated to protecting national forests. Amber previously worked for Heart of America Northwest, seeking effective cleanup of Hanford nuclear and toxic wastes. She is active in neighborhood issues, and realizes the necessity of grassroots activism for environmental and social issues. Amber has worked hard and effectively on Spokane River issues. Amber is originally from Spokane, and her background, idealism and experience are grounded in local realities. She has UCR’s highest level of enthusiastic endorsement.
