Post Election Party for Max Prinsen -- King Conservation District (KCD) Board

Tuesday, March 16th, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Mar 16th 2010

Post-Election party at Sazerac (across the street from the Downtown Library - 1101 4th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101) for Max Prinsen for the King Conservation District (KCD) Board

KCD elections are unusual – you can only vote in person at one of seven King County Libraries – but they’re also important for the environment.  The Sierra Club and the King County Conservation voters have endorsed Prinsen because we expect him to continue applying the board’s $6.3 million dollar budget to saving salmon, assisting farmers with conservation plans, and investing in environmental protection and habitat restoration.

In the past, far-right property rights advocates have managed to elect their own to the Board and these people want to spend the budget on "studies" challenging the Best Available Science standard for protecting the environment.

Prinsen, a South King County resident and president of SHADOW (Save Habitat And Diversity of Wetland), has a long history with the KCD and as an environmentalist.

Party for Prinsen --

Tuesday, March 16, 5-8:00pm, Sazerac, across the street from the Downtown Library - where you can vote, 1101 4th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101.
