Chris Reykdal: State Representative #1, District 22
Posted on September 17, 2010 - 9:38am
As a former Tumwater City Planning Commissioner, Chris understands the importance of careful city planning that strikes a balance between reasonable growth and environmental protection. Chris wants to serve his district to enhance school funding, restore programs for vulnerable citizens, and help create a sustainable, clean energy economy. He is currently the Deputy Executive Director of the Washington State Board for Community & Technical Colleges and a locally elected school board member. In these positions, he has seen firsthand the effects of dramatic budget cuts to our K-12 schools and institutions of higher education. In the Legislature, protecting and expanding education funding will be his top priority. As an educator, Chris understands that education is the key to showing people the importance of being environmentally sensitive and conserving our precious natural resources necessary to sustain and enhance our quality of life. His campaign is fiscally solid, and he has a broad base of endorsements from labor and educational organizations to numerous public officials and community leaders.
