From oil spills to Move to Amend

  • Riki Ott, Ph.D, marine biologist, environmental activist
  • Craig Salins, Exec. Director, Washington Public Campaigns
  • Todd Iverson, Co-founder of America In Solidarity and Pierce Progress and former candidate for Pierce County Council

Panelists from concerned Pierce County organizations will present ways they have been affected by the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling. This decision has given corporations unfettered ability to spend money to influence elections, politicians, and legislation.

Both sides of the case for an amendment overturning the Supreme Court ruling will be presented. A discussion period will follow.
