Sissi Bruch: City Council, Port Angeles

SISSI BRUCH earned her BA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, her MA in Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University, and her Ph.D. in Planning from Michigan State University. She spent 10 years in Towson MD as a Landscape Architect and Project Manager working on construction, design, land use issues, building codes and ordinance impacts on cities. She was an Instructor at the University of MD where she taught courses involving planning, design, and construction. The Mayor of Lansing MI appointed her to the City Planning Commission where she served for nine years. Currently, Sissi is a Senior Planner for the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe and a Port Angeles City Council Planning Commissioner. As a Planning Commissioner, Sissi is a strong advocate for good planning that incorporates long term protection for the environment.
