Beach Walk - Ft. Casey State Park, Coupeville, Whidbey Island
Explore the shoreline at low tide with sweeping views of Admiralty Inlet and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Also walk through this 19th century coastal artillery post and the see the 1903 Admiralty Head Lighthouse. For those of us coming from the mainland, we’ll meet in Mukilteo to take the 8:30 am ferry to Clinton and ride the free Island Transit bus to Keystone (Coupeville Ferry Terminal), arriving at 10:05 am. Return to Mukilteo about 5:20 pm. If you drive to the park, you’ll need a Washington State Discover Pass for parking. Bring clothes for any weather - warm, cold, sunny, blustery and rainy - and dress in layers. Bring gloves, hat, sunglasses, lunch, water, drinks, and money to get on the ferry: $4.50 for adults, $2.25 age 65 or over and $3.65 age 6 -18 (return is free).
