Karin Ashabraner: State Representative #1, District 26
Karin Ashabraner is a middle school teacher in the Peninsula School District and wants to be a teacher in the House to help reform and properly fund the state's whole education system, a high priority for her. She understands that being environmentally responsible is important and tries to lead by being a good example for her students and family.
Ashabraner has a deep appreciation for the natural environment and wants to preserve and maintain state and local parks. For Ashabraner, saving Puget Sound is a must to save salmon and the natural marine ecosystems found in the Sound. She also understands the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and pursue clean alternative energy solutions as required by I-937.
Her incumbent opponent has one of the worst environmental records in the State House. Ashabraner will make a fine environmental legislator to replace this avid anti-environment incumbent.
