James Evans: City Council #3, Woodinville
Posted on September 29, 2013 - 11:37am
James Evans grew up in Woodinville and has remained there as an adult. He supports the Downtown Plan which calls for development of the downtown core instead of expansion into existing agricultural land in the Sammamish Valley. He has a passion for transportation issues, with a vision of increased bus routes connecting Eastside centers to each other. He is supportive of the goals of the Sierra Club's Coal Free PSE campaign to get Puget Sound Energy to move off coal into alternative energy sources. This is his first run for office, but he was a lobbyist for the state university system, and his current job as strategic consultant for 17 Washington cities and two public utilities gives him insight into the political system and how to get things done.
