Native Plant Foray & Hike, Blanchard Mountain ~ Skagit County

We will take an easy upland walk at Padilla Bay and then hike up Blanchard Mountain from the Chuckanut face, along Oyster Creek to identify and gather edible plants and mushrooms. And enjoy the great views and contrasting habitats from the Samish Flats up to the Chuckanut Mountains.

Meet at 10:15 am, Fairhaven Park & Ride at I-5, exit 250 (west of I-5.) Bring snacks & water, and dress for the weather. For gathering, bring cloth bags, gloves and a good Field Guide if you have one. Gloves and snips advised to not disturb the soil habitat of our wild plant food friends.
