Val Tollefson: City Council #7, Bainbridge Island

Val Tollefson is a longtime community activist and environmental advocate in the Bainbridge Island community. As a partner in a large Seattle law firm, and later as co-founder of a smaller firm specializing in complex litigation and maritime law, he volunteered his legal services with the Northwest Justice Project and the Federal Civil Rights Pro Bono Panel. Most recently he served chair for the Bainbridge Island Land Trust, helping guide the organization through some major acquisitions of newly-protected land. As a City Council member, he will work to protect the health of Bainbridge’s drinking water and the health of Puget Sound by reducing pollution. http://val4bi.com/
