Transportation Advocacy Day at the State Capitol

Thursday, February 27th, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Feb 27th 2014
Join fellow citizen lobbyists at the State Capitol in Olympia to advocate for transit funding, healthier communities, and safer streets. We need the power of the grassroots to urge Legislators to prioritize a more sustainable transportation future that provides low impact options for people to reach their destinations, and will reduce instead of make worse the climate footprint of transportation. Sign up and attend Transportation Advocacy Day on Thursday, February 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: United Churches, 110 11th Ave SE, Olympia, WA

Come to Transportation Advocacy Day in Olympia by bus, train, Zipcar, or carpool. Tell your Legislators to support a revenue package that invests in walking and biking facilities, prioritizes road maintenance over new mega-projects, and gives transit systems and local governments more progressive funding options to keep buses operating and fix local streets. Let them know you support transportation investments that move us beyond oil and maintain our bridges and roads while creating safe, low impact connections within our communities.

We need you at the State Capitol on Transportation Advocacy Day to make your voice heard for 21st century transportation solutions that improve safety and connectivity, while reducing our climate impacts. Sign up now for Transportation Advocacy Day on February 27. This event is free, although donations to help cover the cost of our meeting space and lunch are most welcome.
