Snohomish County Coal and Oil Train Hazards (Everett)

Tuesday, June 10th, 6:45 pm - 8:45 pm, Jun 10th 2014

At the June meeting we will present findings from our Earth Week project: The Snohomish County Train Watch.

Learn about the increasingly frequent coal and oil trains that transport toxic and explosive materials through Snohomish County. We will discuss risks and concerns about the local emergency services ability to respond to a major “event”. The presentation is a coordinated effort by the Sierra Club of Snohomish County, Transition Port Gardner, and 350 Seattle.
