Erik Poulsen: State Senator, District 34

In his first year as chair of the Senate Water, Energy, and Environment Committee, Sen. Poulsen helped pass nearly every major piece of environmental legislation. He showed extraordinary leadership, particularly on the Clean Cars bill, where he managed floor debate. He showed superb political judgment – reaching compromise on a range of issues that addressed the legitimate concerns of other stakeholders while still improving environmental protection.
