Louise Bjornson: City Council, Bellingham

Louise Bjornson has been in office for close to 18 years. She has supported a long list of environmental programs over this time including a city-wide recycling program, strong wetlands protections, stormwater and shoreline protection regulations. She has identified objectives for future environmental work if reelected:

• Continue efforts to protect Lake Whatcom Reservoir, enhance fish habitat in Whatcom Creek, Squalicum Creek, and Padden Creek.
• Support salmon rearing ponds in the new park on Squalicum Parkway.
• Support more housing downtown.
