Susan Owens: State Supreme Court

Justice Owens joined the Court after serving nineteen years as District Court Judge in Western Clallam County, where she was the County's senior elected official with five terms. She also served as the Quileute Tribe's Chief Judge for five years and Chief Judge of the Lower Elwha S'Klallam Tribe for six plus years.

A judge for 25 years, Supreme Court Justice Susan Owens has served with integrity, independence and a strong commitment to Constitutional rights. A rural judge known for balanced, common sense rulings, Justice Owens has never held partisan office. With special interests spending big money to elect activist politicians to our court, we must retain strong, independent voices like Justice Susan Owens.

Justice Owens is also endorsed by the Washington Conservation Voters, Governor Christine Gregoire, Northwest Tribal Court Judges Association, and many more.
